Today’s Movement: CrossFit and Yoga
My CrossFit journey started almost five years ago at Mt. Baker CrossFit and completely changed my fitness (and likely made me even MORE “fitness promiscuous” than I had been). After moving cities, I delayed finding another CrossFit gym. As dramatic as it sounds, it’s like trying to find an adoptive family, and I just wasn’t ready for that. However, after a series of serendipitous events, Rocket CrossFit took me in! I had the opportunity to spend both my morning and evening with my CF family today – First for a kick-ass sweat fest, then for some foul-mouthed stretching/yoga.
ON THE MOVE:
I saw: This light thing on my walk home from yoga. I don’t know what it is, but YES.
I loved: The movements in the CF Workout: Rowing, Kettlebell Swings,
and Box Jumps
#Realtalk: Admitting when you need to lift lighter weights is…hard (but a part of growth and awareness)
